FAQ
What are these designs called, and where do they come from?
The design school comes from south asia and is called Batik, the patterns we use come from independant Indonesian artisans.
Are these truly one-of-a-kind?
Yes. Each piece is hand-dyed by an artisan on either silk or cotton, with each pattern uniquely created and never replicated. You'll own a singular work of art.
Is the silk used in your items pure silk?
Absolutely. We use high-quality dyed silk that retains its shape and color for decades, opting for a thicker weave than that of silk scarves or ties to ensure longevity. Items listed as cotton are made from 100% pure cotton.
How should I care for my shirt?
Caring for natural fibers is straightforward. Unlike synthetics, which can harbor bacteria and fungi, silk is naturally antimicrobial. We recommend wearing a light undershirt and cleaning the shirt only if it gets stained or after significant sweating. Often, it remains odor-free and looks fresh after multiple wears. For cleaning, gentle hand washing or dry cleaning is advised.
What if the item I want is out of stock?
Our pieces are unique and once sold, they are not restocked. However, you might find other patterns with similar themes. Our artisans have complete creative freedom, ensuring a diverse and unique collection.
Can I try on an item?
We currently operate only in Detroit, Michigan. If you're in the area, please contact us to arrange an in-person fitting. We're looking forward to expanding to more locations soon.
